So Prayer Flags.

Martha had some prayer flags in her magazine...I think they were for party decor...anyway, I made some out of fabric scraps. I decided to spruce up my Chicken's bedroom window..

Simple to make, just sew stuff together. I used some felt as the back-bone of each flag so they would hang straight...

Seam binding and a zig-zag stitch across the top...

Praying is controversial..I have no idea what prayers these will hold for my daughter, but if they were hanging in my room, this is what they might look like on any given day. Don't judge.

i love that you put it out there, the prayers i mean. we all have a rotation of thoughts that are our own prayers. sometimes i wish i could put a stick in the cog that keeps it all playing over and over, step by step, through my head. but who would we be without this? praying for low anxiety and stuff to look at with ya!

Really clever and beautiful. And I thought you only used that sewing machine for paper!

Julie, your prayer flags are darling! I'll bet she loves them. So that's what your 'fabric scraps' picture was all about yesterday! If I get to visit again soon...your 'free lunch' prayer might just come true ;) ;)

These are great Julie! So fun and bright and I like the prayers too… especially acceptance. That's what I most need. I always want to make prayer flags whenever I see them. Thanks for the inspiration. I just signed up for one of your classes. I'm looking forward to it!
