Yah..I went to Comic-con..

I had the opportunity to tag a long with my friend who is in the industry to Comic-con yesterday. I'm a third generation San Diegan, and I have never been..so in an effort to bring myself out of my humidity induced, summer-time art funk, I went along for the ride.

The people who are waiting on line at Comic-con are very upset about waiting in line.. I on the other hand, did not wait on line for anything and just cruised the convention floor.. everyone was very polite and I found the atmosphere very hospitable. It was a fun day people watching and looking at all of the artwork. I picked up a few zines and a stuffed, "Mr. Toast" (I will admit that toast is one of my favorite foods...so what could be so bad about that?) for Kate..

There are a lot of things that you cannot "un-see" that you see at Comic-con....I will spare you those photos.

Have a good week!

These are great images! My daughter Melissa is out there as well...she left Tuesday night and won't be back until Monday. I can't wait to see her pics and hear her stories!!

LOL! I want to see the photos you can't unsee! I bet it was a great big muddle of all sorts of interesting folks. My oldest son would flip! He is so enamored with Comic-Con. Unfortunately, I am his mother and do not want to deal with it. Ten years back I would have been all over it. But I've done E3 and other conventions and am just over it. He can go when he can drive himself there. :)

HA! Yes, I have a locked un-see chest, myself!
I didn't have a friend in the biz and the lines are the most frustrating thing about it. But something is so invigorating to me as a geek that I found it worthwhile. Will never do it again, though. Did you see bunches of zombies? I checked out a slideshow and it looked like the funnest part of the whole thing. And I don't even like zombies.
